GUWAHATI, Aug 10 - Assam Cricket Association�s Green and Red teams made it to the final of the Challenger Trophy cricket tournament.
Both the teams defeated their respective opponents on first innings lead as the two-day semifinal matches were ended in draw.
At the DN Singha Stadium, Goalpara Red team edged past Green A as in reply to Green�s first innings total of 116, the Red team was all out for 125 and took a thin but vital nine-run lead and entered the final.
At the Judges� Field here, Green scored 244 yesterday in their first innings and in reply Blue A managed to gather 121 in the first innings. At the end of play Blue A were 120 for three chasing a winning target of massive 287.
The two-day final will be played at the Judges� Field here on August 12 and 13. �
