AIZAWL, Oct 24 � Come second week of December, Mizoram Tourism Department will organise a grand �Youth Festival�. A meeting in this connection was held today at the office chamber of TT Zothansanga, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism.

The Youth Festival is planned to be a big one and fund for the same will come from NEC, Tourism Director Vabeiha Hlychho said. Introducing the planned Youth Festival, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism T.T. Zothansanga said that the Youth Festival will be a standard one. He invited members of the committee to take robust steps to make the festival successful as envisioned. If begun well, it will be a step for further progress in tourism, he added.

The festival will expose the Mizos even outside the State, TT Zothansanga said, adding, people from outside the State will also come to celebrate the festival. It will be a Food Festival, Music Festival, Handloom and Handicraft exhibition, Photo and Painting exhibition and a carnival at the same time, he said.
