Govt team visits 74th Sabha session venue

TINSUKIA, Sept 22 - As per the direction of the Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, a team of the State government led by the Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Government of Assam, Ajoy Tiwari visited the venue of the 74th session of Assam Sahitya Sabha at Ritu pathar and Mohong Pathar under Buridihing Mauza of Margherita subdivision on Thursday.

The team comprised Deputy Commissioner, Oinam Sarankumar Singh, Superintendent of Police, Mugdha Jyoti Mahanta, senior officers of Public Works Department, ASEB etc., of both Tinsukia and Dibrugarh districts, SDO (Civil), Margherita Bikram Koiri, CEO of Tinsukia Zila Parishad, Lakhinandan Gogoi besides local MP, Rameswer Teli, MLAs of Tinsukia, Margherita and Digboi, Sanjay Kishan, Bhaskar Sharma and Suren Phukon respectively and prominent office bearers of Asam Sahitya Sabha including the President of Tinsukia unit of the Sabha, Prabin Bora.

The team, among other topics, discussed the facilities of water and power supply, road communication etc., for the sabha session. The team also interacted with the locals and assured them to make the sabha session a grand success. The Principal Secretary and other officers including the Deputy Commissioner appealed the people to extend cooperation for the success of the session.
