Governor surveys flood-hit districts

GUWAHATI, July 7 � The Governor of Assam, Janaki Ballav Patnaik made an aerial survey of the flood situation of Kamrup, Darrang, Sonitpur and Nagaon today. He also visited some flood relief camps of the worst-affected district of Nagaon. The Governor was accompanied by VK Pipersenia, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Assam and Ajay Tewari, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor.

At Nagaon, he was accompanied by P Ashok Babu, Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon and other officials of the district. The Governor landed at Lawkhowa, Nagaon and visited the relief camps at Lawkhowa High School, Laowkhowa ME School and Bhurbondha Bongaon Prathamik Vidyalay.
