GUWAHATI, Sept 1 - Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal have extended greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of the holy festival of Islam, Eid-ul-Zuha to be celebrated tomorrow.
Purohit appealed to the people to regenerate the sense of sacrifice for one another and work for strengthening the bond of coexistence. He also called upon the people to observe the festival in an atmosphere of peace and goodwill.
Different political parties and organisations, including the Congress, AGP and AASU also extended their warm greetings on the occasion.
