Governor attends 318th Baisakhi Gurpurb

GUWAHATI, April 16 - Governor Banwarilal Purohit paid obeisance at the Gopinath Nagar Gurdwara on the occasion of 318th Baisakhi Gurpurb today.

Conveying his warm greetings on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi, Purohit expressed hope that the celebrations of would reinforce love and goodwill among the people and strengthen the bond of unity and bonhomie among them. He also lauded the efforts of the people belonging to the Sikh community for their valour and courage.

The Governor also said that Sikhs are considered as large- hearted and urged upon them to continue their benevolence and contribute to the welfare of the society at large. He also called upon the Sikh sangat to emulate the ideals of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, whose deeds and actions speak for themselves.
