KOLKATA, May 13 (PTI): West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan today accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his council of ministers.
The Governor requested the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues to continue in office until alternative arrangements were made.
Bhattacharjee called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan this afternoon and tendered his resignation following telecasting of Assembly election results on the electronic media, a Raj Bhavan press statement said
