GUWAHATI, March 15 - Gossaigaon routed Tinsukia 5-0 in the first leg semifinal of the CM�s Cup Football Tournament (U-19 boys). In the one-sided encounter at the Nehru Stadium here today, the Gossaigaon boys went 3-0 ahead in the first session and added two more after changing over.
Sujalal Brahma, who was adjudged best player of the match, opened the account in the 23rd minute and doubled it just after one minute. Before the break Binoy Kumar Brahma enhanced the margin to 3-0 in the 36th minute. Substitute Sanu Kumar Basumatary netted one in the 71st minute while Surojit Das completed the rout in the 78th minute.
Silchar and Tezpur are the other teams which entered the semifinal stage and will play tomorrow in the first leg.
The championship has been organised by the Directorate of Sports among the 56 sub divisions of the State. After completing the preliminary rounds in various places, the double leg semifinals and final are being organised here.
