GUWAHATI, Jan 20 - The Golok Raimedhi Memorial Trust has decided to confer the Golok Raimedhi Memorial Karmayogi Award on senior journalist DN Chakravartty in recognition of his lifelong services towards the cause of the society and enrichment of Assamese literature and journalism.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the trust held under the presidentship of writer Krishna Raimedhi, grandson of Golok Raimedhi.
The award will be presented to Chakravartty at Hatigaon on the occasion of the death anniversary of Golok Raimedhi on April 10.
