Golden jubilee of NEIGS

GUWAHATI, Aug 26 - Founded in 1968, the North-East India Geographical Society (NEIGS) is going to celebrate its golden jubilee during 2018-19 in a befitting manner with a view to look back to its 50 years� journey and to prepare a roadmap for future.

For the occasion, the golden jubilee launching function has been convened on August 29 at 11 am at the Phanidhar Datta Seminar Hall of Gauhati University.

Dr Mahesh Chandra Bhuyan, former GU registrar and founder member of NEIGS, will inaugurate the celebrations as chief guest.

All former presidents of NEIGS will participate on the occasion as guests of honour, stated a press release.
