HALEM, Jan 9 � Preparations to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Jyoti Agarwalla Higher Secondary School, Balijari, about 10 km from here, are nearing completion, Ramnarayan Goswami, principal of the school and general secretary of the celebration committee, said.
Talking about the programme, Goswami, said that flag hoisting, plantation, unveiling of the Jyoti�s statue, opening of exhibition and symposium, will form part of the programme scheduled on January 17 at the beginning of the jubilee. On January 18, books will be released and the library inaugurated. A cultural show will also be held.
On January 19, there will be a cultural procession and an open meeting. Prominent persons including Indra Bania, Manoj Kumar, Dr AK Oza, P Nath, Dr Saikia, Dr Ananda Barmodoi and Prithiraj Rava have been invited to the function, Hara Kumar Rajkhowa, president of the celebration committee, said.
