SILCHAR, Dec 15 - Members of the Itkhola Athletic Club will celebrate its Golden Jubilee year from January 2017. Well known sportsperson and general secretary of the club Bijendra Prasad Singh said that the yearlong celebrations shall begin with a rally on January 15.
Singh further said that elaborate programme have been taken to celebrate the jubilee occasion of the club. �It is a great feeling to be a part of the club which will reach a landmark in January next year. We are gearing up to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner,� Singh said. An exhibition football match to be played between veterans of India Club and Itkhola AC has been kept in the list of programmes alongside a seminar on sports management, felicitation of veteran players of the locality, felicitation of meritorious students of the area, yoga camp, blood group determination camp among others. Anup Singh, president of the club said that the club which started its journey in 1967, has had some illustrious success over the years and he hoped that the legacy shall continue in the days ahead.
