GUWAHATI, July 7 � A high-level meeting was convened recently on the Assam Government�s plan to open a gold bank at the existing Hallmark centre located in Bamunimaidam area at the office of the Commissioner of Industries and Commerce.
The proposal of setting up the gold bank is considered in view of the present value and demand of gold. The meeting took place between the Commissioner and the Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation officials.
Later, the delegation also met senior officials of the State Government at Dispur, a press release stated.
