SIVASAGAR, April 3 - The LB Group under Gohainbari Tea Estate in Nitaipukhuri Mouza observed its golden jubilee celebration recently.

Jorhat MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, Director Indira Borthakur and Chief Manager of Gohainbari Tea Estate Sanjeev Boruah lit ceremonial lamps in hallowed memory of the founders Lakhyeshar Borthakur and Birajabala Borthakur.

Indira Borthakur urged the workers and employees to keep her directly posted about their grievances.

Tasa lauded the role of the garden management in eradicating illicit drugs and liquor from the tea estate. The garden management felicitated football teams from Gohainbari and Panidihing High School and headmasters Pradip Borgohain and Pranjal Phukan on the occasion.

Further, the tea garden management presented cheques worth Rs 10,000 each to two meritorious students � Barasha Handique and Pallavi Baruah.
