NEW DELHI, March 2 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today visited Medanta Medi-city Hospital to enquire about ailing Jnanpith awardee Dr Mamoni Raisom Goswami�s health condition.
The Chief Minister, who was accompanied by his wife Dolly, was at the hospital for over an hour, when the doctors treating Dr Goswami briefed him about her condition.
Medanta Medi-City chairman Dr Naresh Trehan later told newsmen that the author continued to be in coma. �Her condition is critical but stable,� he said.
He further said they have been trying to take her out of life support system on and off for brief periods. She continues to be on ventilator support and her vital parameters are stable, he added.
