By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Jan 29 The Assam State Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today alleged that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi violated the model code of conduct of the elections to the Municipal Boards and Town Committees.

The BJP alleged that with his statement that additional grants would be given to the Municipal Boards and Town Committees if the Congress is voted to power, Gogoi violated the code of conduct of the polls. Moreover, Minister Chandan Sarkar violated the code of conduct by announcing a grant of Rs 2 lakh to Bongaigaon College when the poll process is on.
