GUWAHATI, Aug 1 Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today asserted that he was going to keep the Home portfolio with him, and that it was for him only to decide if it was to be handed over to somebody else.

Nobody needs to tell me thatI will decide when it is time to go. Even New Delhi does not have to tell me that, Gogoi said at a press conference while answering a query about the possibility of Centre asking the Chief Minister to hand over the Home portfolio to another minister of his Cabinet.

Gogoi also claimed that the people had faith in the State Government, as the Congress just got 40 of the 47 seats in the Karbi Anglong Town Committee polls held after the BTAD riots.
