Gogoi, 12 others declare assets of dependents

GUWAHATI, Feb 16 � Thirteen of the 19 Ministers of Assam today declared the assets of their dependents and the same has been uploaded in the official website of the Government of Assam. While some of the Ministers including Chief Minister summed up the net assets of their dependents in terms of money, the others did not.

As per the assets declared, the net worth of the assets of Dolly Gogoi, the wife of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, is Rs 36.72 lakh, which include two plots of land in Beltola Mauza valued at Rs 3.40 lakh and Rs 4.52 lakh respectively, one motor car, NSC of face value of Rs 1.50 lakh, investments in shares worth Rs 16 lakh, jewellary worth Rs 1.24 lakh etc. She has cash in hand amounting to Rs 9,985 and a bank balance of Rs 529868. She has a loan of Rs one lakh.

The net assets of Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is over Rs 56.63 lakh , which is much more than that of the wife of the Chief Minister. In fact, Sarma has assets amounting to more than Rs 1.40 crore but with liabilities worth Rs 77 lakh including loans, her net assets turned out to be Rs 56 lakh.

Sarma has immovable assets including land and house in Noonmati as well as a flat at Gulmohar park, New Delhi worth Rs 76 lakh. She also has a Honda CVR car in the name of her daughter worth Rs 19 lakh and investments in shares worth Rs 29 lakh and other assets.

The net assets of Mondira Roy, wife of Excise Minister Gautam Roy is Rs 39.47 lakh which include a plot of land in Hailakandi, flat in Kolkata, vehicles, investments in shares, bank deposits etc.

Nazrin Hussain, wife of Forest Minister Rockybul Hussain has immovable assets worth Rs 48 lakh against a total liability of around Rs 22.64 lakh. She also has movable assets worth Rs 59.62 lakh.

Suraya Afrus, wife of Minister Nurzamal Sarkar has two plots of land valued at Rs 4.15 lakh in Guwahati and at Biswanath Chariali. She has two buildings worth Rs 32.40 lakh and Rs 3.25 lakh respectively at Beltola in the city and at Biswanath Chariali. She has a cash amount of Rs 15,000 in hand, bank deposit of Rs 1.07 lakh, LIC policy with assured sum of Rs three lakh etc. She owns a vehicle worth Rs 5.72 lakh and old ornaments worth Rs 70,000. Another dependent of the Minister, Mukibur Zamal has 14 bigha and 15 lecha land worth Rs 35,000, which he received as gift from relatives.

The son of Minister Pramila Rani Brahma owns one bigha three lecha of land in Kokrajhar LIC policy for an amount of Rs five lakh, an amount of around Rs 10 lakh in the Kokrajhar branch of the SBI. He owns a Fortuner vehicle.

Manirani Goala, wife of Minister DP Goala has net property worth Rs 40.24 lakh, which includes land in Cachar district, investment in shares, bank deposits, investment in dairy firm and post office investments.

Bharat Chandra Narah has not provided the sum total of the net worth of his dependents' assets. However, he mentioned their deposits in banks, bonds, other financial institutions, number of vehicles, jewellary, land, buildings etc owned by his MP wife Ranee Narah and son Rajiv. Same was the case with Malati Barman, wife of Revenue Minister Dr Bhumidhar Barman.

The net assets of the dependents of Education Minister Gautam Bora is stated to be over Rs 25 lakh.

Tarulata Majhi, wife of Minister Prithibi Majhi, has total assets of Rs 15. 67 lakh, his dependents Lili Majhi has assets worth Rs 8. 75 lakh, Jogesh Majhi has assets of Rs 14 lakh, Pradip Majhi has assets worth Rs 15.83 lakh and Puja Majhi has assets worth Rs 3.18 lakh.

Aziza Nazrul, wife of Supply Minister Dr Nazrul Islam, has movable assets worth Rs 83.86 lakh and immovable assets worth Rs 81 lakh and total liabilities worth Rs 28.46 lakh.
