GUWAHATI, Jan 22 � The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) today claimed that the restrictions over the financial transaction on three of its accounts would not affect the overall financial transactions of the corporation.
The District and Session Judge, Kamrup had put restrictions on three accounts of the corporation in November last year after three private parties, associated with the Corporation approached the court.
�GMC has 93 accounts and the restrictions would not affect its day to day business. The issue is being investigated by the BIEO and only after the enquiry is completed, it could be ascertained, whether or not the private parties would get any amount from the corporation,� said the GMC sources.
