GUWAHATI, June 19 - The GMC has asked all event organisers and political parties to remove the posters and banners, soon after a programme is over, in order to keep the city streets clean and clutter-free.
With the growing number of events in the city, posters and banners are put up in large numbers for promotional activity. However, after some time, such outdoor ad materials into garbage. �Once the purpose of the banners and posters is served, there is no need for them to cling on to the streets,� GMC Mayor Mrigen Sarania emphasised.
