GUWAHATI, July 14 � Strongly condemning the incident of molestation of a girl on GS Road on July 9, the Save Guwahati Build Guwahati (SGBG) has asked the Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to apprehend the culprits involved in the crime and run a special trial to punish them within three months.
�Such culprits should be given exemplary punishment so that such shameful incident is never repeated. The authorities should respect the feelings of resentment among the people of Assam and punish the guilty as early as possible,� SGBG president Dhiren Baruah said.
The Women Engineers Forum of Assam has also condemned the incident of molestation on the night of July 9 by a group of assailants.
In a statement, the forum said that this shameful incident has smeared the image of the State in front of the world.
