Girls� common room inaugurated

DOOMDOOMA, Dec 6 - A girls� common room was inaugurated at Dangari Higher Secondary School here on Wednesday. The common room, constructed by Sadashiv Tea Company, was inaugurated by Dr Manju Chakravarty, one of the directors of the company.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Chakravarty said that she is happy to donate a room in the school.

In his welcome speech, Principal of the school, Pushpa Bahadur Chetry thanked Dr Manju Chakravarty for donating a common room.

In the inaugural function, Bibidh, a collection of twenty five articles written by Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan was jointly released by former Principal of the school Sarifa Khatoon Chowdhury, retired Principal of the school Baikuntha Bhuyan and retired teacher of the school Dr Meena Devi Baruah.

Journalist Abhijit Khataniar, Archana Bora also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Runumoni Dutta Bhutan, a teacher of the school presented a Meera Bhajan. The entire programme was moderated by senior subject teacher of the school, Sarat Chandra Chiring Phukan.
