GUWAHATI, April 22 - A team of Assam Police , Noida Police and NGO Shakti Vahini today rescued a girl hailing from Assam from Sector 44 at Noida. The Assam Police team led by Sub-Inspector Bhaskar Jyoti Nath arrested the accused trafficker who will be brought to the State tomorrow or the day after.
The trafficker has been identified as Santosh Mahato. The girl, aged around 24 years, hails from Sivasagar. Police said that ever since the girl was trafficked, the family members had no clue about her whereabouts, following which a case was registered. The arrested accused hails from Bihar.
