TURA, May 16 - A 17 year-old minor from Dalu in West Garo Hills, has finally complained against her tormentor, two years after she was first sexually assaulted by him.
The shocking incident came to light after a complaint was filed by the victim against her assaulter on May 14 in the Dalu Police Station. The case was later forwarded to Tura Woman�s PS. According to the FIR, the accused first committed the crime when the victim was 15 years-old and continued to sexually assault her.
The victim further alleged that after the incident, the accused, who is a government employee, had mentally tortured the victim in an attempt to push her to end her own life. Incidentally, the accused has gone into hiding since the day the complaint was filed against him.
