SILCHAR, Feb 22 � Banking on a fine batting performance by skipper Raju Das, Guru Charan College thrashed Cachar College by 4 wickets to win the Inter College Cricket Championship 2015 organised by Assam University Sports Board.

In the rescheduled final played at the SM Dev Stadium on Sunday, Cachar College posted 140 runs on the board in 30 overs. In reply, captain Raju Das played an unbeaten knock of 58 runs to see his side cross the winning line with almost 10 overs remaining. Rahul Singh picked 3 wickets for 14 runs. For his brilliant batting, Raju Das was adjudged the man-of-the-match and also the best batsman of the tournament.
