NEW DELHI, Oct 3 - Assam Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi is part of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) delegation to the US. He will take part in the India-US Forum of Parliamentarians in the US from October 4 to 9.
The Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University will organise a programme covering current topics like the US policy towards Afghanistan and Pakistan, US-Sino relations and their implications for India, the 2016 US Presidential election, etc.
The delegation will also meet senior officials of the World Bank. Gogoi will deliver a speech on the challenges facing India, major opportunities and implementation of projects in constituencies. He will also speak at the George Washington University in DC and the Columbia University in New York.
The visit to New York will also include interactions with senior members of the US administration, elected representatives, representatives from the industry and others.
