IMPHAL, Sept 28 � BJP President Nitin Gadkari will be meeting President and Prime Minister before the end of September to apprise the Manipur situation and urge them to take immediate action.
BJP�s NE India Sampark Cell convenor Sunil Deodhar disclosing this to media here on Tuesday said, Gadkari is concerned over the prevailing situation in Manipur in the aftermath of the on-going economic blockade.
�Nitinji is angry and asked me to take a report so that he could apprise the President and Prime Minister to tackle it immediately�, Deodhar, who was here for the compilation of BJP�s NE vision document as part of the India vision 2025 document.
Sadar Hills District Demand Committee has imposed an indefinite economic blockade on National Highways 39 and 53 demanding a separate district while UNC also imposed a counter blockade to register its opposition against �bifurcation� of Naga areas.
He expressed concern that an LPG cylinder costs Rs 2,000 in black. �The common people are suffering as the State is heading towards anarchy�, Deodhar observed. �The students are also suffering as examinations are coming up.
He appealed the people to submit suggestions to State unit office here for BJP�s NE vision document on how the people of Manipur wanted to see their State in the year 2025.
On Monday, BJP State unit submitted a memorandum to the President of India demanding imposition of President�s Rule in the State.
