GUWAHATI, Dec 16 � In the memory of singing legend Bhupen Hazarika, socio-cultural organization Phoenix is organizing a musical programme �Gabhir Aasthar Gaan� on December 18 at Rabindra Bhawan from 5.30 pm.
Saroj Barua, a close associate of Dr Hazarka would inaugurate the programme. A number of eminent artistes including Sudakshina Sarma, Kula Barua, Anju Devi, Sangita Kakati, Dilip Das, Sadananda Gogoi, Rishiraj Sarma, Vidyasagar, Dikshu, Devajit Choudhury, Arpana Dutta Choudhury, among others, would take part in the programme, a press statement mentioned.
On the same evening, Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury, Dr Anjanjyoti Choudhury and Anupjyoti Choudhury would pay their tribute to the maestro reciting poems.
