AIZAWL, Sept 27 - The Central Government has extended the time for implementation of the Food Security Act in Mizoram till November. Earlier, it was said to be implemented from October.
Mizoram Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Minister John Rotluangliana said this on Thursday at the Consultative Committee Meeting in his office here.
When FSA is implemented, 7.06 lakh persons from AAY families will become beneficiaries and while the rest of the population will get ration supply as usual, the Minister said. The Supply Department has formulated the Mizoram Food Security Rules, 2015, and the same has been approved by the government, the Minister informed the meeting.
