SIVASAGAR, Sept 29 � Veteran freedom fighter Tara Prasad Barthakur died at a private nursing home here today following old age ailments. He left behind his wife, three sons and five daughters. Barthakur, whose role in the freedom struggle has been widely recognized, was a recipient of �Tamra Patra�. He was also a recipient of the �Rashtra Vir� by All India Freedom Fighters� Association at New Delhi in 2005.
