By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, May 29 - A free health check-up camp was organised at the Airports Authority of Indias Sports Complex at the AAI residential colony on Tuesday.

The health camp was conducted by Down Town Hospital for all employees and members of their families.

The health camp was inaugurated by Sanjeev Jindal, AAI Regional Executive Director, North East Region, Guwahati in the presence of senior officials and doctors of Down Town Hospital.

On the occasion, Jindal said regular health check-ups are necessary for all, but are even more important for employees who work in shifts and are posted on operational duties. They are prone to stress conditions and health check-up camps could provide them some sense of relief. We often consider that employees working at office in general do not draw health issues, but we are wrong, it can occur at any stage and at any time. The need of the hour is to keep ourselves fit and healthy with regular medical check-ups, he said.

The facilities that were offered at the camp included consultations on general medicine, cardiology, diabetology, urology, gynaecology, pulmonology and dietary advice for keeping oneself healthy.

Free tests were also available for random blood sugar, ECG, lipid profile and blood pressure checkups.
