JALUKBARI, Sept 22 - The management of Maruti Nexa showroom located near Gorchuk has filed a fraud case against a woman employee who is now absconding after allegedly cheating customers of more than Rs 1 crore.
According to sources from the Gorchuk Police Station, a case was filed against the showroom�s relationship manager Nikita Tiwari (23) by the management for allegedly cheating customers.
Nikita had allegedly taken money in advance from many customers for booking new vehicles without informing the management. Now she is absconding and the customers are demanding the vehicles, police sources added.
The incident came to light when a customer came to the showroom on September 17 to collect his car.
Manish Agarwal, a cashier of the showroom, has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the incident and later sent to custody by a court, police sources said.
The sources said other employees may also be involved in the scam, and the investigation will reveal the nexus as one person cannot do all the paper work.
