Four secure ranks in Nalbari district

NALBARI, May 15 - Four students of Nalbari district brought laurels by securing 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th positions among the rank holders in the HSLC examination.

Nikita Kalita, a student of Little Flower School of Nalbari town secured 7th position obtaining 587 marks.

Nikita, daughter of Gopal Kalita and Gita Kalita was confident to get a position in the merit list.

Gopal Kalita, who is a branch manager of Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB), guided his daughter properly. Nikita wants to become a physician.

Talking to this correspondent, Nikita said that maintaining a proper routine, coupled with dedication helped in getting this result. She has now decided to pursue HS in the Science stream. On the other hand, Ivan Kashyap Kalita of Bar Kotlakuchi village in Nalbari district bagged the 8th position from St John�s HS School, Barama. Ivan wants to become a professor in mathematics.

ANN Service from Tihu adds: Meanwhile, the entire Tihu today erupted with joy as Deepshekher Kalita of Vivekananda Vidya Niketan and Deep Jyoti Sarma of Sankardev Vidya Niketan secured 9th and 10th positions respectively in the HSLC exam-2019, which was declared today.

Deepshekhar secured 585 marks with 97.3 per cent, while Dipjyoti�s percentage stands at 97.1. Deepshekher scored 98 in English, 100 in General Maths, 98 in General Science, 94 in Assamese, 97 in Social Science and 98 in Advance Mathematics. Similarly, Deep Jyoti got 95 in English, 100 in General Mathematics, 96 in Assamese, 98 in General Science, 94 in Social Science and 100 in Advance Mathematics.

Expressing satisfaction with the results, the rank holders attributed their success to the advice given by teachers, coupled with dedication of their parents. �It is a proud moment for us and our hard work paid off,� they unequivocally said.
