Foundation stone of digital library laid

DOOMDOOMA, Nov 28 � The foundation stone of a state-of-the-art digital library at Doomdooma College was laid on November 26. The foundation stone was jointly laid by local MLA Dilip Moran, the chairman of the governing body of the college, Krishnakanta Bhumij, former principals of the college Dr Prafulla Medhi and Dr Abdul Quader, former vice principal Dr Aruna Gogoi Baruah and the president of the alumni association of the college, Arjun Baruah.

The digital library will be built at a cost of Rs 1,00,000,000 given by the State Government for the development of the college infrastructure. Addressing the gathering, Dilip Moran expressed the hope that the students would benefit from the digital library. He added that the Raghab Moran Road, adjacent to the college, would be reconstructed within two months at a cost of Rs 25,00,000.

Earlier, the principal of Doomdooma College, Dr Prakashjyoti Borthakur delivered the welcome address.
