BAIHATA CHARIALI, June 12 - Following information from reliable sources, a team of Sila forest range office, Amingaon under North Kamrup Divisional Office of Forests under the leadership of Rabin Baishya, Ranger of the office recently carried out an eviction drive to free Government land from encroachment in front of the office of the Superintendent of Police, Kamrup at Amingaon. Forest department sources said that the encroacher hailed from Sivasagar district and had occupied nearly one katha of Government land illegally near the National Highway 31 and when the encroacher had started installing pillars for the construction of an RCC building there, the forest team carried out the eviction drive. Though no one could be arrested, rods and rings of coil were seized.
