DOOMDOOMA, July 22 - Sales Tax Department personnel and Doomdooma Police seized 1,500 cartons of foreign liquor at Hansara near here last night. The liquor was being transported from Namsai in Arunachal Pradesh to Tinsukia in a truck (AS-09C-3338) by a Digboi-based trader with fake documents.
The trader was allegedly planning to change the labels on the liquor bottles for their resale in Tinsukia district .
Leopard carcass found: The carcass of a leopard was found at the Longsowal TE under the Doomdooma PS on Thursday by local residents. Later, the police handed over the carcass to the Forest department.
