DIMAPUR, Feb 15 - A two-day Nagaland Blind Football Demo/Training Camp, being conducted by the Office of the Disabilities Commissioner, got under way at the Don Bosco Higher Secondary School ground here today.

The Nagaland State Disability Forum and Prodigals Home are organising the event in collaboration with the Indian Blind Football Federation.

Addressing the inaugural session, Diethono Nakhro, State Commissioner for Persons with Disability, Nagaland, said people with disabilities are the most excluded people in Naga society. Nakhro said para sports in the State were never promoted except by some individuals with their own efforts.

Conducting the football training camp for the blind is the first of its kind event in the State, as it is an introduction to para sports in the State, she said.
