JALUKBARI, April 5 - With the General Elections drawing near, the Flying Squad last night seized Rs 5 lakh during a routine vehicle check near Pandu in the city.
According to sources, one Ayaj Ali was carrying the money in his vehicle bearing registration number AS 01 DU 1660 when the Flying Squad members stopped it for a check. Ali could not produce any valid documents supporting the amount.
The matter is under investigation, sources added.
