Flood scene grave in KNP

KOHORA, Sep 1 - The flood situation in Kaziranga National Park is said to be alarming as more than 75% of the park area have been submerged and there has been a rising trend of water level inside the park, informed Kaziranga Divisional Forest Officer(DFO) SK Seal Sharma.

In Kohora range itself, many forest camps like Arimora, Hanuman, Kartika, Nowbhangi, Aloobari, Vengrai, Bokabeel, Borbeel, and etc., have been badly affected due to flood waters, sources said adding that patrolling has been intensified to check poaching activities.

As of now no casualty has been reported till filing of this report.
