Madhopur (Punjab), Jan 25 (IANS): The first batch of 500 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, led by Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, today crossed the bridge that connects Punjab to Jammu and Kashmir.

The bridge connects Madhopur to Lakhanpur, 90 km from Jammu.

Anurag Thakur, MP, who is leading the 'ekta yatra' march that is intended to culminate with the unfurling of the national flag in Srinagar on Republic Day Wednesday, was also amongst those who crossed over.
