GUWAHATI, April 6 � As per the directive of the State Revenue Department, an FIR has been lodged regarding tampering of records relating to valuation of land on behalf of the Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner by Additional Deputy Commissioner BB Deb Choudhury at the Panbazar police station.
The FIR was filed last month, said a senior official. No names have been mentioned in the FIR.
Sources said that the case relates to purchase of a plot of land at Noonmati by two persons in 2011.
An inquiry found that records relating to the land were tampered with resulting in loss of revenue to the government.
