GUWAHATI, Feb 16 - Benudhar Nath, an advocate of the Gauhati High Court, has filed an FIR against AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam over his comment on the Pulwama terror attack in which CRPF jawans were martyred.
�In his comment, the MLA of Dhing constituency has questioned as to why there was a bomb blast in Kashmir, ahead of every general election. Apart from being derogatory in nature, such comments might demoralise our army and paramilitary forces. Also, such comments may adversely affect the peace and social harmony in the country. It might also create an environment of communal hatred,� Nath said in his FIR.
A case has been registered at the Latasil Police Station.
Social activist Dhiren Baruah also condemned the terror attack. �The Indian armed forces and paramilitary forces are one of the best in the world. The entire country is with our security forces and would support their action against the perpetrators of terrorism. I have also written to the Prime Minister to express our solidarity. Immediate and stern action must be taken against the terror outfits,� said Baruah, the founder president of Save Guwahati Build Guwahati and former chairman of GMDA.
