BONGAIGAON, Sept 27 - Activists of All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) have started their fast-unto-death stir at Chirang district headquarter Kajalgaon from 10 am today in protest against the eviction of poor Adivasis by the Forest department. These Adivasis who were facing eviction in the district are either the victim of river erosion or ethnic clash. They had to take shelter in various patches of abandoned lands in the district after losing their homes and hearths. So, they are not encroachers as branded by the Forest department, stated leaders of the student organisation. They have sought justice from the government.
