GUWAHATI, Sept 16 - IIFT Guwahati centre is organising a fashion show, �North East Fashion� on September 20 at Hotel Landmark here.
According to a press release, the objective of the show is to highlight the fashion trends of the North-east as well as the handlooms and textiles of the region.
The show includes 20 famous fashion designers. Well-known fashion designers like Garima Saikia Garg, Dhiraj Deka, Payal Oshan Goswami, Ranjuma Barua and a few others will participate as celebrity designers.
The designers will create their attires solely from north-eastern handlooms and textiles for the show. Around 40 professional top models of North-east India, including nationally famed Himakshi Agarwala, Sukalpa Das and Sabasini are scheduled to walk the ramp. There will also be two kids� rounds, the release added.
