DHUBRI, April 25 - In a special operation conducted by the Border Security Force under New Diwaner Alga Border Outpost, 50 bundles of fake Indian currency notes of Rs 2,000 denomination and worth Rs 1 lakh was recently seized.
The BSF officials claimed that the seizure was made in a farmland near the border where a bag with the fake notes along with 272 Bangladeshi Taka, all inserted in a sack full of 8 kg paddy seeds, was recovered. The bag also contained 5 packets of biscuits which are popular in Bangladesh along with bidi bundles and a torchlight. The security officials from prima facie of the procedure of recovery felt that the bag was meant to be delivered to someone from India by a Bangladeshi national. �These notes may be payment for smuggled cattle.�
Meanwhile, the miscreants associated with the case have managed to give the security personnel along the Indo-Bangla border the slip.
