GUWAHATI, Oct 20 - Fairyland High School became the champions in the Dr Padma Kr Saikia & Sandhan Saikia Inter-school Cricket Tournament defeating Delhi Public School (DPS) by two wickets here today.

Put into bat first in the school cricket tournament organised by the City Cricket Coaching Centre at the Janata Bhawan playground at Dispur, DPS scored 119 runs losing nine wickets in the allotted 30 overs. In reply, Fairyland needed 24.3 overs to win the match by two wickets scoring 120 runs for eight wickets.

Dhananjay Paswan of Fairyland for his 31 runs and three wickets for 24 runs earned him the match in the final, while Hrishikesh Das of DPS became the man of the tournament.
