Facility for differently abled children

GUWAHATI, Aug 16 - On the occasion of the 71st Independence Day, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Chahatey Ram inaugurated the �Sensory Room� for differently abled children at the Sneha complex on the Central Hospital premises at Maligaon on Tuesday.

The Sneha School, opened in 2012 for differently abled students, has been running under the initiative of the NF Railway Women�s Welfare Organisation.

In the sensory room, differently abled children will be provided special types of assistance by experts to improve their skills and education using various types of instruments like CP chairs, standing frames, corner sheets, balancing boards, dark room, different types of lights, full balls for sitting, different types of zin balls and mattresses, sensory integration and tempolines.

Speaking on the occasion, Ram appreciated the NF Railway Women�s Welfare Organisation for taking such a welfare scheme for the differently abled children.
