GUWAHATI, Dec 9 - Bharat Vikas Parishad, West Guwahati branch, Pandu, organised an eye camp (cataract screening) today in association with Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, a press release stated.

A total of 233 patients were examined at the camp held at Sri Ram Thakur Mission Complex at Pandu. As many as 49 patients were found to have cataract problems, out of which 31 will be operated upon free of cost at Nethralaya on December 10 and January 1, 2019. The rest 18 will be operated upon at concessional rates.

Post-operative check-up and spectacles will be provided at the Nethralaya. Bharat Vikas Parishad will arrange free transportation and necessary post-operation care for the patients.
