Exhibition under Nat�l SC/ST Hub held

GUWAHATI, March 3 - Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (ASIDC), in association with North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NEDFi), organised a two-day State-level exhibition under the National Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) scheme, a press release said.

The exhibition was organised on February 27-28 at the Lakhidhar Bora Kshetra here with support from the PHD Chamber of Commerce.

The NSSH scheme is an initiative of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises targeted towards developing a supportive ecosystem for SC/ST entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the exhibition was to share information on items and services that could be procured from SC/ST MSEs, creating awareness on different schemes, and other benefits for capacity building of youth from SC/ST communities.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Minister of Fisheries, Excise, Environment and Forest Parimal Suklabaidya. Manoj Kumar Das, deputy general manager, NEDFi; Abdul Hamid of ASIDC and SK Hazarika of PHD Chamber of Commerce were also present.

Altogether 42 stalls of different items were set up by MSMEs from SC/ST communities, which included handloom and handicraft, traditional jewellery, organic farming, etc.
