DIMAPUR, Aug 7 - The NSCN-K has said the �framework agreement� with New Delhi is intended exclusively for NSCN-IM and asserted that it is under no obligation to either agree or disagree with the accord.
In a statement, �military supervisor (West)� of NSCN-K Niki Sumi said it is solely the prerogative of the NSCN-IM to arrive at any kind of conclusion for which they have been striving for the last 18 years, adding that the accord was intended exclusively for the NSCN-IM.
The NSCN-K said it is making its position clear lest its silence on �Naga sovereignty� was misunderstood and to steer it clear from what it described as �embroilment� over the �high pitched� NSCN-IM�s �Peace Accord sensation�.
Niki also expressed amusement to note that the four-year-old NSCN-KK is going �excited and bizarre� for not having been included in the scheme of things. He hit out at the NSCN-KK, saying �birthed out of betrayal and consequent expulsion from both the NSCNs this flock of pariahs can only be expected to whine, beg and fuss over the prospect of being sidelined by its benefactor, the GoI.�
Niki said �these vagrants sans history of origin, sensing complete desolation, as a last resort, has for the last three, four years, been manufacturing misleading commercials �Nagas of Nagaland�, �Nagas of Manipur� or �Nagas of Myanmar� etc�. He, however, said the Naga are no longer �naive to be hoodwinked by such India-fed limerick�.
Niki said the NSCN-KK must therefore be content with whatever crumbs the government of India throws at them in the already 54-year-old India established state of Nagaland.
He further said nothing could be more treasonous in a political conflict than to reaffirm and endorse the very agreement of betrayal for which Nagas have been denationalised.
Meanwhile, the Naga Hoho, the apex Naga civil society organization, has appealed to the government of India and NSCN-IM to share the contents of the �Framework Agreement�.
While welcoming the agreement as the foundation towards bringing lasting solution to the protracted Indo-Naga political problem, it urged the Centre and NSCN-IM to share the contents without delay.
In a press release, the Naga Hoho said its executive meeting held in Kohima on August 6 discussed at length the signing of �Framework Agreement� and observed that people at large are becoming apprehensive and impatience. It appealed to each and every Naga not to be swayed away by the rumours through social media but to be persistent in the best interest of the Naga people as a whole.
It also appreciated the historic agreement on the basis of political and historical rights of the Nagas and expressed hope that any settlement should be honourable and acceptable to the Nagas.
